The End of Film is Nigh? Kodak File for Chapter 11!

Daily Disney

Filmmakers and Photographer were shaken but not surprised by the news of Kodak filing for bankruptcy. This company have evolved photography and cinema in unison over a century. Now the Kodak Eastman co. filed for chapter 11 protection after 132 years of business. Kodak is suffering one of the most common mistakes that other companies have done… not to adapt in the digital market. The surprising factor is that Kodak have survived this long without the consumer market. However, this company’s future might not look as bright as they were in the 20th century this company was trusted with most of our precious possession… memories.  Is this the end of film? Is this going to be the end of Kodak Film Roll era?

An Apology to Nobody

Remember the last post? The 2k, 3k, and 4k on the T2i is it really True? Updated

It’s a hoax. It was all a big though out prank. A duo of dudes from “Ohio” with a deep EU accent. They wanted to gain fame for 15 minutes or let’s be honest they were famous for three days. And they pretty much took over twitter. I said it like four times on my paragraphs: it’s fake or it was a well thought out prank.

It’s clear that he is from Ohio, USA.

For me it seems fake a really thought out prank. How can the T2i do not over heats by shooting in 2, 3, or 4K? I really do not know. I will keep repeating this phrase. These cameras do not…do not have a fan or do not have a big card to support 175 mbs videos. There’s is too much work load for the T2i.

Could this be an April Fools prank?
It’s fake…like I said before there’s no way you could push that type of sensor without a cooling system. Any type of HDSLR tend to overheats, especially Canon’s camera.

Some people unfollowed me because of this post or for this other trend. I follow you but you have to follow me moronic trend! I do not follow blogs that are empty or that glorifies cats. Let’s get serious now. I lost one of my favorite follower. Especially, a person who I used as an expert on the field for my last post. He knows his craft! And I used him as a base to show that this hack or feature is not even possible. I will not mention his name for his privacy sake. Really? Dude that’s harsh. I am not apologizing to nobody. For reblogging a small rumor that it was way impossible to do on a T2i. I wish you good luck on your venture sir. The rest of those peeps who unfollows…Meh.

This short made my evening over at the Orlando Film Festival. The only animation that stood out that night.

RANT!!!

I didn’t quite enjoyed the festival. I felt like it was more like a club meeting than a Film Festival. Filmmakers in one side and ordinary people separated. Ain’t a film festival supposed to have filmmakers and “normal folks” together in one place. Chatting and learning a thing or two from their craft? The surprising thing was there were no local filmmakers showing their work. Orlando you should all be ashamed of yourselves! However, I  will submit my work  next year.  Hopefully, put Orlando back to it’s place.

Enjoy this piece.

Why these HDSLR fanboys are stupid? These cameras are not meant for professional use. Especially, the GH1 and the upcoming GH2. They are consumer cameras, their codecs are weak and not very post friendly.

If they wanted to jump on board on this whole “HDSLR Revolution” they would’ve done it by making a bigger beefier sensor and way better codec for professional use. Panasonic made a “
HDSLR Killer” HA the ironic thing is not really doing anything different. The AG-AF100 has the same sensor as the GH1 and it shoots 24mbps. Way to go guys (Panasonic), you have failed with coming up with this outrageously excuse of a “More Professional Camcorder”.  FAIL!

Just saying.

(I do hope I have not offended any smart GH1 user). Sometimes someone has to break it up to them somehow.

Are you willing to shoot a music video, a tv show, a short film, or even a full length film in this codec? Yes? Think again FANBOYS h.264 is the new home video format. Don’t let it fool you the codec is CRAP and I can’t believe that BBC and other stations are adopting this format.

Bye Bye Facebook

Today I decided to let go from the most notorious site of them all. Bye bye facebook. I hope you can miss my things and my funny updates. Not really, I do hope more people think about their privacy and ownership of our data. I don’t want to be part on making my profile as another way to bring weird ads and handing money to them (facebook) with my data and information about me.

Bye, bye facebook I do hope more people realize how wrong this whole thing is.
